Wholemeal flour is made by crushing the whole grain of wheat, known as the wheatberry. This is in contrast to white flour which uses only the endosperm of the wheatberry, after removing the bran and the germ. Wholemeal flour is higher in fibre than white flour. It is great for cakes, scones and biscuits, but will change the taste and texture slightly. Product of Australia.
